“Hulk Orange Juice” is the newest single from the CT band, Ghost Blood, which premiered on Dad?! Collectives newest compilation, Now That’s What I Call Dad? Volume 2: In Honor of Our Founding Dads.

First off, I really love “Hulk Orange Juice.” The progress this band has made since The Stephen Johnson EP truly amazes me. In this track, Ghost Blood continues much on their evolutionary path that was first initated on their latest EP, Ohio Is Four Brothers. I like the route that Ghost Blood has chosen. Where most bands clean themselves up as they progress, Ghost Blood seems to get more raw and gritty.

From the start of “Hulk Orange Juice,” the track is all ready all over the place. With it’s constant changing of tempo, this track does not fail to excite. When “Hulk Orange Juice” finally finds itself at the end, the whole song just explodes with power. I also love how short this song plays out. Even if it only spans just over a minute, this track has a lot of diversity and also packs a hell of a punch. There’s enough liveliness and musical precision on “Hulk Orange Juice” to keep the listener plenty satisfied.

I really can’t wait to hear what else Ghost Blood is cooking up. I think “Hulk Orange Juice” might just be their best effort yet. In the meantime, you should definetely check out the rest of Dad?! Collective’s compilation.
